Everything you need to know about Emily in Paris season 2
At the height of the pandemic, Netflix brought us a show about a young American making her new life in Paris. While we all were battling with the virus, the show came as a breath of fresh air. Therefore, Emily in Paris season 2 is highly awaited. Recently, Netflix launched a new teaser at the TUDUM event. Previously, Emily dealt with challenges that come with a new job and a new life. However, it seems that she has figured out many things since then.
While it felt like a utopian dream, Emily in Paris was an incredible distraction from a deadly virus
The show revolves around a young woman who works at a marketing firm. When her boss gets pregnant unexpectedly, Emily is sent to Paris to take over her new job. However, there is a catch. Emily has a boyfriend and knows nothing about Paris. Nevertheless, she takes the new job at Savoir and moves next door to Gabriel, the handsome chef. Throughout the show, she ignores the cultural norms and makes other people follow her lead. From innovative ideas at the company, much to her boss’ dismay, to confidently barge in at prestigious places, Emily seems to be doing just fine. At the end of the first season, we leave her at crossroads when it comes to her personal life. Therefore, there was no doubt that Emily in Paris season 2 will happen soon.
After only days of first season coming out, Emily in Paris season 2 was renewed
Interestingly, Emily in Paris season 2 was renewed by Netflix in November last year. Emily’s fictional boss, Sylvie shared a memo that announced the news of another season. According to the memo:
“We are writing to regrettably inform you that Emily Cooper will need to remain in Paris for an extended period of time. Despite her overconfident manner and lack of prior experience in luxury goods marketing, she has nonetheless managed to charm some of our hard-to-impress clients during her short time at Savoir. Call it bonne chance, or American ingenuity—I’m leaning towards the former—her results are impressive.”
Furthermore, the memo announcing Emily in Paris season 2 read:
“We hope that by extending her time in Paris, Emily will further the relationships she has already made, delve deeper into our culture, and perhaps pick up a few words of basic French.” Quel dommage, Sylvie, quel dommage.
Recently, Netflix revealed the teaser of Emily in Paris season 2 at Tudum event
In the teaser, Emily can be seen vacationing in Saint Tropez. In order to further cheer up her new best friend, Mindy Chen joins her. As was the case last season, Emily seems to be enjoying the luxurious resort and gorgeous beaches. However, it seems that she is taking a break from posting on social media. Meanwhile, what became of her relationship with Gabriel is also unknown. Therefore, we will have to wait for Emily in Paris season 2.
The show will return on 22nd December, just in time for Christmas. Hopefully, we get to see Parisian Christmas in the new season.
